The inHaus Center of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is a thematically and organizationally unique innovation initiative. In close collaboration with partners from industry and research innovative product components and systems solutions with new efficiencies are developed and tested for both investors, operating authorities and residents of residential properties and for operating authorities, investors and users of commercial properties.
The inHaus Center consists of the inHaus1 facility which covers the area of residential properties. In 6/2008, the inHaus Center is going to be extended with the addition of the inHaus2 facility which is going to cover the area of commercial properties and is currently being constructed.
In the last five years the area of residential properties has achieved an exceedingly positive image and a nationally and internationally high profile. Generally applicable concepts and solutions which have been developed here have been realized both in the housing industry and in private constructions and dwellings. Since 2003 the inHaus GmbH, which is a spin-off of the inHaus innovation Center, has been launching approx. 120 inHaus-objects. Due to this, the inHaus GmbH is able to contribute comprehensive practical experience to the inHaus Center.
The future-oriented development and the market launch of novel intelligent room and building systems is the principal object of inHaus2 in order to increase the general attractiveness of commercial properties. These solutions support and improve the entire life cycle of commercial properties by means of optimization of the operations, ranging from planning and construction to operation and facility management.
