Nowadays the healthcare and socialcare system faces multiple challenges: demographic changes show a continuing increase of life expectancy as well as a constantly low birth rate and an increasing tendency for young people to live alone. A significant increase in the number of people in need of care and at the same time a decrease in nursing and medical staff is predicted for the next few years. Which solutions are needed to create a sustainable and innovative health and social care system?

In order to tackle this problem inHaus2 has included demonstration and development platforms in the areas of »Health and Senior Care«. In cooperation with commerce and science futuristic scenarios are shown and on the basis of Use Cases an insight into provision structures of the future is given.

The topic »Health and Senior Care« connects the automation of buildings with sensor, robotic, information and communication technologies. inHaus2 offers more than a playground and development platform for technologies, rather there are concrete development and application projects. Together with patients and nursing and medical staff new developments are tested before they are widely applied.

- Strategy and organistaion development and quality management in the social and health care system

- Development of concepts for nursing and medical provision

- Request management, testing, maintenance and evaluation of medical technologies, e-health-solutions and sensor technologies in the social and health care system

- Design of user-friendly Human-Technology-Gateways which live up to the requirements of user groups and specific application contexts

- User-driven innovation and conceptions of novel interactive products and services
